VDU EYEWEAR
Employers are obliged, by European law, to provide and pay for an eye examination for any employee who is a VDU user. This examination will ensure that the minimum visual standards required for ( Display Screen Equipment ) DSE are met. Employers are also obliged to pay for, or contribute towards , glasses which are specifically for VDU / DSE use.

We will discuss office lighting , seating , screen position , ventilation and other relevant ergonomic considerations during the VDU / DSE eye examination. A full ocular health check is included. Where indicated , we will recommend suitable coatings and / or tints for glasses specifically for VDU / DSE use. We will also discuss suitable lens types from the range of single vision , bifocal and ( invisible bifocals ) varifocals. We have a wide variety of quality eyeglass frames to suit all pockets.

Our Employers scheme offers a discounted price of € 10 per employee for a full VDU / DSE eye examination. This represents a discount of € 10 per employee on our regular eye examination fee. Our scheme also offers employees a discount of 15% off the total cost of a pair of glasses regardless of whether they are specifically for VDU / DSE use or not.

European Health and Safety law outlines Employers obligations to provide Safety Eyewear for various occupations. We offer a full variety of prescription & non - prescription Safety Eyewear and a choice of safety lens types from the range of single vision , bifocal and ( invisible bifocals ) varifocals.
